This last week we had the pleasure to have as our guests on 'The Raad Life' radio show Senior industry exports Chris Gutierrez from Southern California Senior Resources and the husband and wife team of Sandy McDaniel-Laughlin and Gregg Laughlin of All-inclusive Senior Advisors!
Our discussion ranged widely and covered everything from the current California Bill SB 648, introduced by Senator Tony Mendoza that aims to help regulate elder care referral agencies, to the what some of the 800 type dial in help lines that advertise assistance to seniors really provide an what they don't, and to what one can expect to have to face when one finds themselves dealing with having to arrange for care for an aging or ailing loved one in the late stages of their lives.

Phone, internet and elevision cable); and ensuring that all of the strategic steps are executed to facilitate a smooth and successful transition from their home setting into their new home; Assisting the senior with the entire process of determining eligibility for the Veterans Aid and Attendance and assisting the senior veteran or surviving spouse with the successful procurement of the Aid and Attendance benefit (including submitting paperwork to the hysician and to all individuals who will be writing the Statements in Support of the Claim); Family counseling during challenging transitions where she has successfully reunited family members who have been estranged for many years in order to resolve “old conflicts” and rise to the occasion to unify with the senior to assist with the current need.
